The Cyber AB today announced the initial slate of volunteers for its inaugural C3PAO Advisory Council. Owners, executives, and CMMC business area leaders among the Authorized CMMC Third-Party Assessment Organizations (C3PAOs) compose the Council, which serves as a recognized entity to provide feedback and recommendations for Cyber AB consideration in improving assessment processes and clarifying guidance.
The Cyber AB Announces Election of New Board Officers
The Cyber AB announced today the election of new officers to lead its Board of Directors in 2024-2025. Current Vice Chair Paul Michaels was elected by the Board to serve as Chairman; Mathew Newfield, who served as Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee, will become Vice Chair; and Debbie Taylor Moore will serve as Secretary.
The Cyber AB Endorses the National Cybersecurity Strategy and Urges Faster Adoption of Third-Party Supply Chain Cybersecurity Validation
The Cyber AB, the official accreditation body of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) initiative, today announced its endorsement and support for the White House’s new National Cybersecurity Strategy. Citing the Strategy’s emphasis on defending critical infrastructure, harmonizing cybersecurity compliance requirements for industry, and imposing costs upon global cyber threat actors, the organization views the Administration’s approach as an affirmation of the CMMC initiative.
The Cyber AB Announces New Members to its Board of Directors
The Cyber AB officially announced the appointment of four new Directors to its governing Board. Debbie Taylor Moore, Anthony Johnson, Gene Chao, and Katherine Gronberg all joined the Board as full voting Directors and will participate in the CMMC accreditation organization’s January quarterly meetings that commence this week in the National Capital Region.

The CMMC Accreditation Body, Inc. today announced a major rebranding of its name, logo, and public-facing website, with the organization now doing business as The Cyber AB (pronounced with the “A” and the “B” enunciated separately). The exclusive CMMC non-governmental implementation partner of the Department of Defense, The Cyber AB initiated the changes as a long-planned milestone in its ongoing growth and maturation.
